Optical Distance Meter
The technical concept is unique and patented, making a measurement range up to 8 meters possible. The radiation source is a less than 5 mW 650 nm laser (eye safe - class 3R) and the measurement principle is a unique kind of triangulation.
The product was originally developed in 1991 for measuring length of logs for REMACONTROL AB in Västerås. It has been installed in many sawmills in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia and Germany.
It has undergone an update made by Optical sensors including control and calculations in a microprocessor. Until this update the product was manufactured by REMACONTROL but after this update Optical sensors is responsible for the production.
